Front Entry, Porch Roof & Door Transformation in Troy, NH
A well-finished entry brings several parts of a home together. For this Troy project, Beechwood Handymen coordinated the porch roof, replacement door, and surrounding finish work to create an entrance that fits the existing house.

The challenge
The entry needed more than a new door. Extending the porch roof meant working with the roofline already on the house, while the replacement door had to fit the existing opening. The finish work also needed to match the home rather than leave the new components looking separate.
Bringing the entry together
We extended the porch roof and installed a replacement fiberglass entry door, with framing, support, roof sheathing, fascia, and trim work at the adjoining structure. The project also included replacing decking at the entry and reinstalling the railing.
Finishing the connections
The roof tie-in, flashing preparation, adjustments around the door opening, and caulking all mattered to the work. Matching trim and paint completed the entrance. The doorway close-up below documents an earlier stage: the door and decking were installed and the railing reinstalled, but the trim had not yet been painted.
The finished result
The completed entry brings the roof profile, red door, and matching surrounding finishes into a coordinated whole. The before and progress photographs show the carpentry and finishing behind that result.
