Beechwood Handymen built a picnic table for a Jaffrey, NH home, then returned to prepare an approximately 10-by-10-foot pea-gravel pad beneath it. The work included moving the table, removing sod and soil, installing landscape fabric, and spreading the gravel.

Preparing the picnic table pad

We moved the table aside, laid out the seating area, and removed sod and enough soil to establish the footprint and grade. The excavated material stayed on the property.

We installed landscape fabric, spread the pea gravel, and returned the table to the prepared area.

Working through the backyard access

The gravel had to be moved by wheelbarrow from the gate to the work area, a route of about 40 to 50 feet. We kept the work within the agreed seating area beside the lawn, garden, and shed.

How large was the pad?

The planned seating area was approximately 10 feet by 10 feet, sized for the picnic table and its place in the yard.
